And by a very productive garden, I mean very productive cucumber plants. If you remember our prize plants from before, we picked our first produce from the garden from those cucumber plants! We have four plants that are producing, so we have a lot of cucumbers, and even more on their way!
Here I am with the cukes; Nathan and I are just so pleased to have food that we have grown. We went over after I was done with work, just expecting to put some more mulch down, and these babies surprised us!
I know that the huge one is definitely overripe, but that’s what happens when you’re gone for a couple of days. They come out of nowhere! Yes, this is our plot! We’ve upgraded from newspaper to straw, and it’s doing wonders. Hardly a weed!
When we checked the tomato plants at the house, we were pleasantly surprised with a bucketful of ripe ones!
I see some salsa in our future!
